At Triumph Tech, we believe that thriving Rock teams don’t just happen—they’re built with purpose, structure, and communication. That’s why we created our Rock Skills Rubrics—a powerful, field-tested framework for evaluating and growing the skills of Rock consultants, developers, and designers.

We use these rubrics internally for recruiting, onboarding, training, quality control, and career development—and now we’ve made them freely available to the Rock community.

What’s New?

We’ve just released our biggest update yet, including three new skill categories and expanded growth levels across the board. Here’s what’s been added:

New Skill Categories

Azure Cloud Hosting – Covering essential infrastructure and hosting knowledge for Rock in the cloud.

Internet & Networking – Foundational understanding of DNS, SSL, IPs, firewalls, and more.

Rock Design – Focused on the design and user experience side of building beautiful, intuitive Rock sites.

Updated Categories

Lava – Now includes Lava Applications (Helix) to reflect advanced usage of Lava syntax and patterns.

New Advanced Levels

We’ve extended all skill categories to include:

Level 6 – Force Multiplier: Those who mentor others, scale best practices, and drive efficiency across teams.

Level 7 – Strategic Pioneer: Visionaries who push the team forward, invent new solutions, and lead community-wide innovation.

Why This Matters to You

Whether you’re leading a church team, hiring a new developer, or just wondering how to grow your own skills with Rock—these rubrics give you clarity and direction.

Churches can use them to:
  • Set clear expectations and growth paths.
  • Evaluate team readiness and training needs.
  • Identify and develop future leaders.
  • Bring consistency to performance reviews and hiring.

Free for the Rock Community

We believe in giving back to the community that shaped us. These rubrics are yours to use, adapt, and grow with—no strings attached.

By sharing our internal tools publicly, we hope to raise the bar for what’s possible in the Rock ecosystem while promoting excellence, transparency, and collaboration.
